How can I arrange an Usborne author visit to my school?
Many Usborne authors also visit schools - these events are subject to a fee to cover the cost of the author's time. Author events include workshops, assemblies and Q&As. Learn more about author visits and see the list of available authors here.
We highly recommend working with an Independent Usborne Partner on your author visit. They can help arrange the visit and advise you on the authors that are currently available. If you don’t have a particular author in mind, your Independent Usborne Partner will be happy to tell you more about Usborne’s authors, the books they have written, and the Key Stages that their events would be suitable for.
An Independent Usborne Partner will also organise books signed by the authors to be available for purchase, and attend the event to support you from start to finish. Your school can earn up to 60% of the books sold in Usborne free books for your library or classrooms. Many schools will work with an Independent Usborne Partner prior to the event to hold a book fair or sponsored read. The free books allowance earned on these events can also be used to cover the costs of an author visit.
If you aren’t already connected with an Independent Usborne Partner, you can find someone in your area on our website (UK and Europe only) or we can find a Partner for you.
